The National Council of People with Disabilities in Bulgaria (NCPDB) is the country's cross-disability umbrella body, established in 1995 and comprising the most representative national disability associations. It serves as the official state partner in defining and implementing disability policy and CRPD compliance in Bulgaria.

The National Council of People with Disabilities in Bulgaria (NCPDB), Национален съвет на хората с увреждания в България, traces its origins to 1995 under the Protection, Rehabilitation and Social Integration Act. It is the umbrella organisation of the most representative national disability associations in Bulgaria and a full member of the European Disability Forum (EDF).

What They Do

NCPDB participates in government consultations on disability legislation, advocates for alignment with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and serves as the official advisory partner to the Bulgarian Council of Ministers on disability policy. It represents Bulgaria's disability sector at the European level through the EDF.
