The Czech National Disability Council is the largest umbrella organisation of people with disabilities in the Czech Republic, uniting more than 250,000 members through national associations and Regional Disability Councils. The Czech National Disability Council (Národní rada osob se zdravotním postižením ČR — NRZP ČR) was established in 2000 in recognition of the common needs shared by people across all disability types. It brings together over 250,000 individual members through national associations and Regional Disability Councils that span every region of the Czech Republic, making it the country's most representative disabled people's organisation.
What They Do
NRZP ČR advocates for human rights-based disability policy and monitors Czech compliance with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. It provides legal assistance to members, publishes accessible information on social benefits and services, and actively participates in European-level disability policy through the European Disability Forum.
