About

Founded in 1977, the Oklahoma Disability Law Center (ODLC) — also doing business as Disability Rights Oklahoma (DROK) — is Oklahoma's designated P&A System with offices in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. ODLC is a member of the National Disability Rights Network (NDRN) and administers multiple federally mandated advocacy programmes across the state.

What They Do

ODLC provides individual legal advocacy for people whose rights have been violated, ensures free appropriate public education for children with disabilities, monitors the quality of state-funded residential services for people with developmental disabilities, and advocates for laws that protect Oklahomans with disabilities. The organisation also provides Client Assistance Programme (CAP) services for individuals seeking vocational rehabilitation.

Who They Serve

ODLC serves all Oklahomans with disabilities — cognitive, physical, psychiatric, and sensory — at no cost. Service areas include special education rights, employment discrimination, abuse and neglect in facilities, and access to community services statewide.
