Polish Forum of People with Disabilities(PFON)
The Polish Forum of People with Disabilities is the national umbrella organisation for disability associations in Poland, uniting organisations since 2003 to advocate for equal rights and full social participation. A European Disability Forum member since 2004, PFON shapes national and EU-level disability policy.
About
Established in May 2003 and headquartered in Warsaw, PFON (Polskie Forum Osób z Niepełnosprawnościami) is a public-benefit organisation that brings together associations and unions of organisations of people with disabilities across Poland. It has been a member of the European Disability Forum since 2004.
What They Do
PFON monitors and advocates on disability legislation, provides expert input to parliamentary committees, and represents Polish disability organisations in European networks. The Forum campaigns against discrimination and for equal access to employment, education, and public services for people with disabilities.
Who They Serve
PFON serves people with all types of disabilities in Poland — physical, sensory, intellectual, and psychosocial — as well as their families, carers, and the organisations representing them across the country.
