Secretaría Nacional de Discapacidad(SENADIS)
Created by Panama's Law 42 of 1999, SENADIS directs and executes national policy on the social inclusion of persons with disabilities and their families, coordinating programmes across government to remove physical and social barriers. It provides official disability certification and oversees compliance with disability legislation throughout the country.

SENADIS (Secretaría Nacional de Discapacidad) is Panama's national government entity responsible for formulating and executing public policies to guarantee the rights and full social inclusion of persons with disabilities. Headquartered at Building 723 in Clayton, Panama City, it was established by Law 42 of August 1999 and coordinates closely with ministries, municipalities, and civil-society partners.
What They Do
SENADIS provides official disability certification covering physical, sensory, psychosocial, intellectual, and visceral impairments. It coordinates government inclusion programmes, supervises compliance with accessibility and anti-discrimination regulations, and runs public awareness campaigns to promote attitude change and respect for the human rights of persons with disabilities.
