Tennessee Disability Coalition(TDC)
The Tennessee Disability Coalition is a statewide alliance of over 40 organisations and individuals united to promote the full and equal participation of people with disabilities in all aspects of Tennessee life. Through legislative advocacy, ADA technical assistance, employment, family support, and brain injury programmes, TDC builds capacity across the entire disability community.
About
Founded in 1989, the Tennessee Disability Coalition (TDC) is headquartered at 955 Woodland Street in Nashville and brings together member organisations representing Tennesseans of every age, background, and disability type. TDC speaks with a unified cross-disability voice in state policy and works to build long-term community capacity.
What They Do
TDC runs a Public Policy Programme advocating at the Tennessee Capitol; an ADA Network providing compliance training and technical assistance; WorkAbleTN supporting employment access for people with disabilities; Brain Links training professionals who serve people with traumatic brain injury; Family Voices of Tennessee supporting families of children with special healthcare needs; and a Discretionary Small Grants Programme funding grassroots disability organisations.
Who They Serve
The Coalition serves Tennesseans with all types of disabilities — physical, intellectual, sensory, psychiatric, and acquired brain injury — alongside their families, service providers, and the policymakers who shape their lives.
