Union of Disabled People in Bulgaria(UDPB)
The Union of Disabled People in Bulgaria (UDPB) is one of the oldest and largest disability organisations in Eastern Europe, established in December 1989 and uniting more than 319 local organisations with over 72,000 members. UDPB advocates for social integration, equal rights, and an improved quality of life for all disabled people in Bulgaria.
About
Founded immediately after the fall of communism in December 1989, UDPB is headquartered in Sofia and is a founding member of the European Disability Forum. It represents people with physical, sensory, and other disabilities across Bulgaria.

UDPB promotes social integration through policy advocacy, coordinates support and services across its member organisations, and engages with the Bulgarian government and European institutions on disability rights legislation.
