Protection and Advocacy System, Inc.(WYPANDA)
Established in 1977, Wyoming's Protection and Advocacy System is the state's federally authorised nonprofit providing legally-based advocacy, investigation of abuse and neglect, and rights protection for people with disabilities across the entire state. WYPANDA administers nine federal programmes covering developmental disabilities, mental illness, assistive technology, voter access, and more.

Wyoming's Protection and Advocacy System (WYPANDA) was established in 1977 as a federally authorised nonprofit corporation, part of the largest legally-based advocacy network for people with disabilities in the United States. Based in Cheyenne, the organisation has federal authority to access facilities and records to investigate allegations of abuse and neglect of people with disabilities.
What They Do
WYPANDA provides individual advocacy, legal representation, information and referral, training, and investigation of abuse and neglect for Wyomingites with disabilities. The organisation administers nine federal programmes and works statewide to protect the rights of people with developmental disabilities, mental illness, and all other disability types through a toll-free line at 800-624-7648.
