About this resource

About

Entry Point! is a programme of the AAAS Project on Science, Technology and Disability, established in 1996 to grow the number of people with disabilities in the STEM workforce. AAAS performs national recruitment and screening, then refers qualified candidates to partner organisations — including NASA, IBM, Google, and university research labs — that make final hiring decisions.

What It Does

The programme offers ten-week, paid summer internships in STEM fields to undergraduate and graduate students with disabilities across the U.S. Applicants must be full-time students with a GPA of 3.0 or above and authorised to work in the U.S. The application window opens in early October and closes in mid-February each year. Entry Point! also provides professional networking and alumni community opportunities beyond the internship year.

Who It Helps

Undergraduate and graduate students with any disability — apparent or non-apparent — who are pursuing STEM degrees and want paid internship experience at research institutions, federal agencies, or industry partners.
