NTACT:C (National Technical Assistance Center on Transition: The Collaborative) is co-funded by the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) and the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA). Its mission is to help State Education Agencies, State VR Agencies, and local providers improve post-school outcomes for students with disabilities, including those with the most significant support needs.
The centre provides a free library of evidence-based transition practices, Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) toolkits, lesson starters for educators and VR counsellors, self-determination curriculum resources, and professional development webinars. Its Taxonomy for Transition Programming 2.0 gives schools and districts a structured framework for evaluating and improving their secondary transition programmes.
Secondary school students with disabilities (particularly those with IEPs or 504 plans) ages 14 to 21, as well as transition coordinators, special education teachers, vocational rehabilitation counsellors, and state-level administrators seeking to improve employment and postsecondary education outcomes for young people with disabilities.
