NCPMI is funded through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) and based at the University of South Florida. It serves as the national technical assistance centre for states and early childhood programmes implementing the Pyramid Model across Part C early intervention and Part B Section 619 preschool special education settings.
NCPMI offers free online training modules, implementation guides, coaching tools, and family-friendly practice briefs that explain Pyramid Model strategies in everyday language. Key resources include the Teaching Pyramid Observation Tool, positive behaviour support planning guides, and a library of social-emotional teaching activities for young children with and without disabilities. Webinars and an active national community of practice support educators, intervention specialists, and state administrators.
Early childhood educators, intervention specialists, and coaches supporting children from birth through five who have or are at risk for social-emotional or behavioural difficulties—including those with autism and developmental disabilities—as well as state and programme administrators building tiered positive behaviour support capacity.
